It is kind of messy...
While we were ripping into the archway, we stumbled upon a surprise! Whoever had put the archway together decided to hide some wiring with the archway, rather than put it in the wall like it should. Below are some pictures depicting the wire and our attempt to fix the wiring...

I love to remodel!! Seems like I'm always in the middle of something. It's a lot of work, but the rewards are worth it. Good luck!
